“Quack of Dawn”

  1. To begin, your Scout Elf will find some gather up some bubble wrap, scissors and tape.
  2. Next, they will wrap themselves (and their cute little hat) in bubble wrap and tape it at the end to keep it in place.
  3. Lastly, they will find some stairs or even just a good spot on the floor to make it look like they’ve made a “soft” landing from the North Pole!

Streamers Surprise

  • Streamers
  • Tape
  • Stairs, door frame or anywhere in your home that would be great for streamers!

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf friend will find the best, highest place from which to hang the streamers.
  2. Second, they will tape the streamers, let them hang to the floor and watch them sparkle before their eyes.
  3. Finally, they will find the perfect spot among the streamers to sit and wait for kids to find them!

TP Christmas Tree

Leave it to your Scout Elf to turn a simple toilet paper stack-up into snazzy Christmas décor. The more sparkle, the better!


Materials:

  • Toilet paper

Instructions:

  1. Your elf will stack six rolls of toilet paper into a pyramid shape.
  2. They will decorate the TP tree with miniature Christmas lights and ornaments.
  3. They’ll add a finishing touch by taping a star cut out of yellow construction paper to the top of the tree.

Instructions:

  1. Your elf will print and cut out the Scout Elf hat and collar.
  2. They will tape it to a mirror and wait nearby for you to spot your reflection. In no time, you’ll look like your favorite seasonal visitor!

Peekaboo!

Oh dear! This toilet paper snowman is hiding a surprise…your Scout Elf!


Materials:

  • 3 rolls of toilet paper
  • Googly eyes
  • Black, orange and brown construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Single hole punch
  • Gift bow (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will create a snowman they can hide in! First, they will stack three rolls of toilet paper on top of one another.
  2. Then, they will glue two googly eyes on the top roll of toilet paper.
  3. They will cut a nose, arms and buttons out of construction paper and glue them onto the toilet paper.
  4. Using a single hole punch, they will punch small circles out of construction paper and arrange them for a mouth.
  5. As an option, they will glue a gift bow on top of the snowman.
  6. Finally, they will climb inside the middle of the toilet paper rolls and pop out to surprise you!

How to Floss

How to Floss image

Your Scout Elf heard about a dance called the “floss,” so they decided to try it out. No toothbrush or toothpaste required!


Materials:

  • Dental floss
  • Note

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will find themselves twisted and tangled in dental floss.
  2. They’ll leave you a note asking, “Is this how you do the ‘FLOSS’?”

Tiny Toilet Paper Snowman

Materials:

  • Toilet Paper Rolls (3)
  • Construction paper
  • Twigs
  • Strand of ribbon or fabric
  • Tape

Instructions:

  1. If you leave your toilet paper stacked in the bathroom, there’s a good chance your Scout Elf may crawl inside to create this snowman surprise!
  2. Using construction paper, the elf cuts out eyes, a nose, a mouth and buttons for the snowman, securing them on the front of the toilet paper rolls with tape
  3. Tape will also be used to attach two twig arms for the snowman.
  4. A colorful piece of ribbon or fabric will make a perfect scarf accent!

Balloon Bubble Bath

Rub-a-dub-dub, these Scout Elves took a dip in the tub! Your elf can make a real splash by relaxing in their very own balloon bubble bath.

Materials:

  • White balloons
  • Sink

Instructions:

  1. First, your elf will blow up small white balloons and place them in the sink.
  2. Then, your elf will hop right in their balloon bubble bath and relax until you find them!

Snow Slide Mountain

Frolicking in the snow is an all-time favorite Scout Elf pastime—especially when they hit the slopes for hours of adventurous tubing and sledding!

Materials:

  • White hand towels
  • White bath towel

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will build an indoor mountain by draping a folded bath towel over two stacks of folded hand towels.

  3. Finally, your elf will inflate the snow tube from the Claus Couture Collection® Totally Tubular Snow Set so a North Pole pal can share in the fun.

Christmas Reflection

  1. Scout Elves are always looking for a way to put a smile on your face…sometimes literally! Your Scout Elf will gather some dry erase markers and draw a funny picture on the mirror in your bathroom—like reindeer antlers and a ruby red nose, or an elf hat and collar! Finally, your elf will write a fun message asking you to check out your new reflection!

Take Fun to New Heights

Your Scout Elf loves to kid around. They’ll have fun creating a growth chart and “growing” taller by stacking and standing on gift boxes. Elf Pets® friends can get into the act, too, by lining up to get measured. And remember—your Scout Elf’s Christmas cheer and love are always growing!

Materials:

  • Low-tack decorative tape from Scout Elves at Play® Stick Quick or other decorative sticky tape
  • Small gift boxes
  • Holiday Harness from Scout Elves at Play®

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will tear off strips of low-tack decorative tape.
  2. Next, they will attach the tape to the wall in even increments to make a colorful growth chart.
  3. Finally, they will pose on stacked gift boxes to appear as if they’re growing.

People-Friendly Pupcakes


Materials:

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 8 oz. apple sauce
  • 1 ½ bananas, mashed
  • 8 oz. light cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • Large bowl
  • Muffin tin
  • Cupcake liners
  • Mixer
  • Oven
  • Elf Pets® Saint Bernard

Instructions:

  1. The more, the merrier—especially when it comes to sharing sweets! Your elf decided to help you and your favorite pups indulge in a yummy treat by mixing the first 8 ingredients for “pupcakes,” which any man, elf or Elf Pets® Saint Bernard can enjoy!
  2. Then, your elf will place cupcake papers in a muffin tin and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Your elf will start the recipe by mixing the first 8 ingredients for the pupcakes together in a bowl.
  4. After the ingredients are thoroughly combined, your elf will put the batter into the cupcake liners, leaving a ½ inch of space at the top (Helpful hint: the batter will not rise much).
  5. After baking about 12 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted into the pupcake comes out clean), your elf will let them cool.
  6. As they do, your elf will create the frosting by beating the softened cream cheese until fluffy, and then mixing in the peanut butter and honey.
  7. After icing each pupcake, your elf will invite everyone to dig in!
  8. Note: In general, all ingredients are pet friendly; however, Scout Elves should use their best judgment when creating this recipe to ensure their family’s pet is able to safely consume all ingredients.

Holiday Hoops


Materials:

  • Small orange balloon

  • Scout Elves at Play® Tools: Glacier Grips and Holiday Harness

Instructions:

  1. Scout Elves are natural high flyers, so it’s no wonder that dunking a basketball is a cinch! To demonstrate his or her skills on the court, your Scout Elf will print out the basketball backboard and cut it out along the solid lines.
  2. Next your Scout Elf will punch a hole in the top of the backboard in order to hang it from the Glacier Grip.
  3. Your elf will use tape to attach a medicine cup to the backboard as a hoop.
  4. To create a basketball, your elf will blow up a small orange balloon just large enough to fit into his or her hand.
  5. Finally, your elf will use the Holiday Harness and the other Glacier Grip to get in the perfect position to dunk! (Helpful hint: the Holiday Harness and Glacier Grips work best on smooth surfaces, like mirrors or tile!)

Christmas Code Cracker


Materials:

  • Color printer
  • Cardstock
  • Message decoder printable
  • Dry-erase marker
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf wants to know if you’re able to crack a super-secret code to find out the message that they’ve left you! To uncover the hidden words, your elf will print and cut out the elf decoder and symbols.
  2. Next, your elf will create a funny message, joke or question on the mirror in elf code by cutting out and assembling the symbols so they spell out the correct words! (Helpful hint: your elf may write a question on the mirror with dry-erase marker and provide a coded answer instead! Example messages are provided on page three of the printable.)
  3. Once your elf is done, they’ll stand by their work to wait until you’ve cracked the code!
