Gingerbread House Idea Image

  1. Your Scout Elf jokester will start this super easy idea by gathering a few pieces of bread.
  2. Next, they will construct a small “house” and place a small container of ginger spice inside.

  2. They will get their cooking station ready on a tabletop or counter.

Candy Cane Golf

Instructions:

  1. To begin, your Scout Elf friend will cut the green paper or felt in the shape of a mini golf course.
  2. Then they will find the perfect candy cane to use to putt their mini golf ball.

Scout Elf Strength Training

“Time to pump some iron!” 


Materials:

  • Marshmallows
  • Pretzel straws
  • Optional: Cookies, Drinking straws, Icing dots

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will make their dumbbells and barbells by loading marshmallows on each end of a pretzel straw or drinking straw respective to whichever weight they’re creating.
  2. Next, they may create benches and seats out of larger marshmallows!
  3. Then they may opt for loading cookies on the end of drinking straws to add a little extra weight (so they can be even stronger when it comes time to help Santa deliver gifts, of course).
  4. Finally, they’ll begin their workout in preparation for the busy season ahead!

Watermelon Christmas Trees

“Mmmm…I can’t see the fruit for the trees! Ha Ha. Get it?”


Materials:

  • Watermelons
  • Knife or cookie cutter
  • Plate

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will begin making their forest of watermelon Christmas trees by cutting one large watermelon down the middle short ways.
  2. Then, they will make one-to-two-inch cuts creating circular slices (Pro tip: the thicker the slice, the more likely the watermelon Christmas trees will stand on their own).
  3. Next, starting from the rind and cutting toward the center of each slice, your Scout Elf will cut a Christmas tree shape!
  4. They will then use extra pieces of the rind to create little stars posing as tree toppers.
  5. Lastly, they will place their watermelon Christmas trees on a platter and serve!

Ironing Out the Wrinkles

“Don’t mind me. Just ironing out a few wrinkles!” 


Materials:

  • Ruffled potato chips
  • Regular potato chips
  • Elf-sized ironing board and iron

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will find ruffled and regular potato chips.
  2. Next, they will set up their elf-sized ironing board and iron.
  3. Then the elf will get to work ironing out all the wrinkles on the ruffled chips!

Gingerbread Elf Contest

Ready, set, DECORATE! 


Materials:

  • Pre-made gingerbread cookies or your favorite cookie dough
  • Cookie decorating items
  • Color printer
  • Card stock/copy paper
  • Printable
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will print, cut, and set out the printables.
  2. Next, they will prepare un-decorated gingerbread cookies.
  3. Then, the elf will lay out several cookie decorating items for you to use.
  4. Finally, you’ll race to see who can decorate the jolliest gingerbread people of all!

Snowman Popcorn Cups

POP—goes the snowman! 


Materials:

  • Transparent drinking cups
  • Permanent markers
  • Ribbon
  • Adhesive
  • Your favorite popcorn

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will pop their favorite popcorn.
  2. Next, they will prepare the transparent drinking cups by drawing a snowman’s face on the front and adhering a small ribbon around each one like a scarf.
  3. Finally, they will pour in the popcorn for everyone to enjoy!

  • Serving platter
  • Your favorite vegetable mix, meats, and cheeses
  • Hummus

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will first wash the veggies and prepare the meats.
  2. Then they will arrange the food around the hummus to create a Scout Elf face!
  3. Lastly, they will serve up the perfect Christmas charcuterie board!

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will print and prepare the printable.
  2. Then the elf will pop open one of their favorite flavors of pudding and start eating (maybe with the help of an Elf Pet).
  3. Your Scout Elf might leave the Christmas decorations out to let you know it’s time to deck the halls and celebrate the season!

Decorative Drink Packs

You’ve found the perfect gift with these reindeer drink packs! 


Materials:

  • Plastic piping bags
  • Hot cocoa powder
  • Mini marshmallows or other favorite hot cocoa toppings
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Googly eyes
  • Pom-poms

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will fill the piping bags with their favorite hot cocoa mix and toppings.
  2. Then they will tie off the bag with pipe cleaners cut and bent in the shape of reindeer antlers.
  3. Your Scout Elf will then adhere googly eyes and a pom-pom nose to make your hot cocoa packs look like the Elf Pets® Reindeer!

Instructions:

  1. First, the Scout Elf will wash and prepare all the veggies.
  2. Next, they will arrange the broccoli into the shape of a Christmas tree and top with cherry tomatoes and bell peppers to look like decorations.

Spooky Snowmen Hot Cocoa Treats

Materials:

  • Your favorite hot cocoa
  • Large and medium-sized marshmallows
  • Orange and black icing
  • Toothpicks

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will whip up your favorite hot cocoa recipe!
  2. Second, they will gather marshmallows and use black and orange icing to create spooooky snowmen faces on some while adding snowman arms to others.
  3. Third, they will use toothpicks to secure the marshmallows into stacked snowmen and then stand them up on a plate.
  4. Finally, they will use these spooky snowmen as adorable Halloween-themed hot cocoa toppers!

ABCs Breakfast

Ready to eat your ABCs? 


Materials:

  • Apples
  • Bacon
  • Cream cheese and bagels
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Your favorite fruits

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will print, cut, and set out the sign announcing the ABCs breakfast!

Elf Pets Ice Cream

Materials:

  • Chocolate and vanilla ice cream
  • Ice cream cones
  • Oval cookies
  • Pretzels
  • Yellow sprinkles
  • Black icing
  • Fruit tape
  • Chocolate taffy

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will place three (one on each) scoops of ice cream onto sugar ice cream cones.
  2. Next, they will place pretzels on top of a chocolate scoop to look like reindeer antlers, oval shaped cookies on a vanilla scoop to look like Saint Bernard ears, and pointed cookie pieces on the second vanilla scoop to look like arctic fox ears.
  3. Then they will place black icing on each scoop to form a cute button nose and eyes.
  4. Lastly, your Scout Elf will use fruit tape and yellow icing to form Elf Pets collars and magic hearts.
  5. Your Scout Elf may add a flair of detail and form a Saint Bernard barrel from chocolate taffy and an Arctic Fox snow globe from a cookie!

Materials:

  1. Your elf will prepare the lemonade according to the instructions.

Reindeer Sliders

Materials:

  • Hamburger patties
  • Buns
  • Your favorite slider toppings and condiments
  • Pretzels
  • Black olives
  • Sour cream

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will lay out all of the slider toppings and buns.
  2. Next, they will grill the slider patties.
  3. Then the elf will put together the sliders according to how your family likes them!
  4. Finally, the Scout Elf will break pretzels in half and stick them in the top bun to look like reindeer antlers and use sour cream to attach black olive tips to look like eyes and a nose!

Snowman Fruit Salad 

Materials:

  • Three watermelons
  • Blueberries
  • Melon baller
  • Twigs
  • Small top hat
  • Scarf

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will remove a thin slice from the side of each watermelon so it lays flat on the serving surface.
  2. Your elf will then carefully carve into the face-up side of two of the watermelons so they may scoop out the fruit with the melon baller.
  3. Once the melons are scooped down to the rind, your elf will pat dry the insides of the melon bowls before returning the melon balls and some blueberries to them.
  4. Your elf will use a few berries, halved, to form the snowman’s face atop the third watermelon.
  5. Finally, your Scout Elf will decorate the snowman with a scarf, top hat, and twigs!
