DIY Tinfoil Star Ornaments

Tinfoil Star Ornaments Idea Image

“Who says Christmas stars can only go on top of the tree?”


Materials:

  • Aluminum foil
  • Cardstock or cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ribbon
  • Tape or glue dots

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will begin this idea by gathering cardstock or cardboard from an old box and drawing large stars.
  2. Next, they will use scissors to cut out their stars.
  3. Then they will take strips of aluminum foil (they like it because it’s sooo shiny) and wrap them around their paper or cardboard stars until the strips mold to the stars perfectly!

  • Tape

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will find some extra toilet paper.
  2. Next, they will scope out an elftastic spot to pull this silly joke!
  3. Then your elf will wrap themselves and their favorite spot or room in toilet paper so kids can get a good giggle!

  1. To begin, your Scout Elf friend will cut the green paper or felt in the shape of a mini golf course.
  2. Then they will find the perfect candy cane to use to putt their mini golf ball.

  • Marshmallows
  • Pretzel straws
  • Optional: Cookies, Drinking straws, Icing dots

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will make their dumbbells and barbells by loading marshmallows on each end of a pretzel straw or drinking straw respective to whichever weight they’re creating.
  2. Next, they may create benches and seats out of larger marshmallows!
  3. Then they may opt for loading cookies on the end of drinking straws to add a little extra weight (so they can be even stronger when it comes time to help Santa deliver gifts, of course).
  4. Finally, they’ll begin their workout in preparation for the busy season ahead!

Freezer Skating Rink

Winter sports are your Scout Elf’s favorite, but how will they fare when they try skating in the freezer?

Your Scout Elf will be this year’s holiday hero! Sporting their Chief of Cheer Firefighter Set, they’ll rescue an Elf Pets® Mini from the Christmas tree.


Materials:

  • Straws (at least 4)
  • Wooden craft sticks (at least 13)

Instructions:

  1. Your elf will put on their Chief of Cheer Firefighter Set.
  2. They will build a ladder using straws and wooden craft sticks.
  3. They will glue two straws together, twice (once for the left and once for the right).
  4. They will glue wooden craft sticks horizontally across the two straws to create ladder rungs.
  5. They will make their ascent on the ladder to rescue an Elf Pets® Mini from the Christmas tree.
