5 Amazingly Easy Scout Elf Return Ideas

Scout Elf Return Week is upon us! This week, Scout Elves will return to their families’ homes for the Christmas season OR new elves will be adopted and brought home to a brand-new family in need of a new Christmas tradition! Whether your family is adopting a new Elf on the Shelf or welcoming one home again, these Scout Elf arrival ideas are sure to leave smiles on everyone’s faces.  

Crash landing

“Aaand I stuck the landing!” 

Materials:

  • Christmas tree 

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will strap on the Scout Elves at Play® Glide and Go. 
  2. Next, the elf will make a crash landing into your Christmas tree to let everyone know they have arrived!

Just Swinging In 

Just swingin’ in! 

Materials:

  • Empty paper towel roll 
  • Yarn 
  • Scissors 
  • Adhesive (tape, glue dot, etc.) 

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will construct a swing from their Scout Elves at Play® Glide and Go by hanging it upside down.  
  2. They could even make their own swing with an empty paper towel roll and yarn! 
  3. Next, they will hang their swing from the bottom of cabinet doors, the edge of a door frame, or maybe a ceiling fan to go for a spin

Funny-Do List

Scout Elves: making chores enjoyable since 2005! 

Materials:

  • Color printer 
  • Card stock/copy paper 
  • Scissors 

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf will print and set out the printable. 
  2. Then, they’ll sneak back to the North Pole while your family’s face lights up at all the silly chores to complete before the Scout Elf officially arrives for the season!

Name-In-Bows 

“Hey! That’s my name!” 

Materials:

  • Gift bows 
  • Wall-safe adhesive 

Instructions:

  1. Your elf will find their way into your gift-wrapping bows. 
  2. Next, they will adhere each bow to the wall to form their name!

“I’m here for the Christmas season. Hope you don’t mind; I brought some things with me!” 

Materials:

  • Color printer 
  • Card stock/copy paper 
  • Scissors 

Instructions:

  1. First, your Scout Elf will print, cut and fold the printable bags and tags. 
  2. Next, they will arrange their bags to hold like their most recent shopping haul!
